Who Is Jesus As I Know Him?

Coming from my own atheistic background I can totally relate when someone tells me that they do not believe there is a God, or that they are unsure because they cannot hear God but I wish to tell others that there is something in addition to hearing God that is equally if not more important which is knowing God. Because I have been flexible in my own life to receive what God has for me as he has for everyone, I have come to know him and the better I know him the more I can hear.

The greatest joy that Jesus and I have experienced together is breaking free of the traditional dialogue and religious terms and just talking as everyday people with each other. He has told me that this is perhaps the most refreshing aspect of our relationship for him because I can see him as a man as well as God and I can do both without all the false piety and strict terminology. Jesus is more than ready to return to people who are real and who treat him the same way without hidden guilt or shame but just free to enjoy each other. This is the Jesus I know and love.

Jesus and I just had a very long conversation regarding history especially in relation to Jesus' own worldview at the time he lived and died to which many historians and church leaders of the early days gave much thought because the reality of the Roman Empire in its strength and reach has been overwhelmingly powerful.

As Jesus was born a baby like the rest of us, he knew before he was born of course what his mission in life was and that no matter the turn of events, he would never give up on Jehovah or the salvation plan. But as a baby to a child to a man, Jesus had to learn this mission as he grew up.

This overwhelming mission was to save his people of both kingdoms Judah and Ephraim-Israel and although he knew the promises to Abraham by Jehovah included blessing all the nations of the world through his obedience to Father's prophecies, he had no idea how Father intended to make that happen. So when Jesus went to the people in public ministry it was to preach that the kingdom of God was near knowing that the Romans would in the near future of that time surround the city of Jerusalem and tear it down

Jesus has told me that his worldview at the time of his first coming could never have prepared him for the historical realities that would follow from the struggles of the early church to maintain their integrity to his teachings on through the centuries as the world and its antichrist did everything possible to silence them. This is true especially in light of the eventual usurpation by the Roman Empire to adopt the scriptures and incorporate them into their pagan religion to become so dominant in human events as it did as the Roman Catholic Church and its eastern counterpart the Orthodox Church of Constantinople. What he foresaw was the coming destruction of Jerusalem and his people with a belief that Jehovah would have a much different way of bringing salvation to the world.

As Rome increased in power the early church believers were surviving despite the persecutions and horrible conditions they lived under. Committed and devoted to Jesus and Jehovah, they continued on with the Mosaic scriptures and the writings of the apostles and other church leaders, all of them most separate from the growing Catholic church. This remnant of believers quietly survived through the generations until many centuries passed and they surfaced as protestant reformers, now well known as the Waldenses, Lutherans, Zingliists, Calvinists and more, who broke away from the Catholic church which had survived after the fall of Rome itself and became the ruling power for hundreds of years.

During all these years of the remnant, there were always men and women who had a very close relationship with Jesus. They lived by his teachings and the Holy Spirit and he provided a safe haven within a hostile world, a world hell bent on destroying those followers of the Way as they were called. Many have suffered unspeakable atrocities in this world as Jesus has had the unenviable job of completing his second mission that has been anything but easy. This religious war by Rome and later the Catholic Church against the protestants who chose godly scripture over earthly power, actually still exists today as the Jesuits continue in their tradition of attempting to destroy protestant christianity.

Later in England King Henry VIII decided he no longer wanted to live under Roman Catholic authority and so established the protestant Anglican Church establishing himself as his own pope causing divisions among the people, such as the ancestors of our own Myles Standish of Plymouth fame whose ancestors were caught in the internal war as the Standishes of Standish Catholics and the Standishes of Duxbury Protestants took their religious positions in opposition to each other which was the inspiration for Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet. In the Catholic effort to subdue England, the Spanish Armada was sent to conquer them but under Queen Elizabeth I the protestant reformation was undefeated at that time and she also sent help to the Dutch to fight Spain in the lowlands. King Gustav of Sweden also entered what is called the Thirty Year War and the efforts of this strong God-loving protestant leader and his army stopped the Catholic Church from destroying the Reformation Movement. It was during this same time that the Pilgrim Separatists and Puritans from England broke away from the European religious turmoil to settle in America for religious freedom and fortunately for them removed them from the growing civil war in England.

Through all this history and so much more, Jesus and Jehovah worked through a remnant of key people to bring forward the kingdom of God on this earth. But we started with Jesus' worldview at the time he lived, but now in view of this partial history that has followed, it is with this in mind that I will continue to share Jesus' thoughts on his worldview now at a time when the world is a much different place. Jesus told me recently that those who have looked at Jesus and his life have never looked through the prism that I am looking through now. He has told me of his views on all kinds of world events and of the great entanglements caused by political wrangling that have complicated so many things, and which are especially annoying as he is and has been untangling so many messes in order to bring the kingdom of God as a full reality on earth, the Stone Kingdom told in Daniel, along with New Jerusalem as told in Revelations. Just imagine that being your calling or mine. I cannot speak for anyone but myself but I have found all this a daunting task just to learn all this, but he is the one who is orchestrating the entire situation with Jehovah to bring forth miracles of such profound immensity that no one will ever doubt that Jehovah and his son are in charge. But I digress as I am attempting to present to you the most complete picture possible of how Jesus views all this from his dual life as God in heaven and still man on earth. He has told me that as daunting as this is for me, it has been a most incredible undertaking to rescue this world and he appreciates all the cooperation he gets with one simple request. At this point in time, Jesus wants each and every person on this planet, whether christian or not, to open their hearts and minds to the difficult tasks that face us all and consider finding ways to cooperate more fully and become more sincerely engaged.

Jesus: "Kathy, as you write you are inspired by Jehovah but simultaneously I am interacting with you to direct you to the thoughts I want to share with others through you so this is a triangular effort in which you have accumulated the information over decades of time and have previously sorted through all your thoughts to clearly see the truth of the situations presented. And yet I am telling you what thoughts to write but also my feelings about all this now and at the time these things happened."

Jesus: "If I seem different now than I did in the past it is only because in the past I had to act in ways and say things that had to conform to the rigid conditions of the world at that time. Most cultures are much more relaxed now than they were 2,000 years ago and I am Jesus in the modern world now."
