Sometimes Explanations Are Necessary

Everything in the bible looks and sounds complicated to people who have never read it or have read it but not really studied it and for those people I would like to give a simple explanation of what the bible is all about in a nutshell. 

I am going to tell you a story of very bad beings who  tricked some very good people by telling them that they were gods but the people already had a God that they could not see and these bad beings that they could see traveled in very technologically advanced vehicles and could come and go at will and they convinced the good people that they could be just like them and have all the good things that they had. The good people fell for the bait and found themselves like fish in a frying pan because they were in a very bad place and they needed a rescue and even though the God they could not see was there to help them out of their trouble they could not hear him give them instructions on how to get out of their mess and so God sent them a good person to tell them how to do it and if they followed him then everyone could be saved from their predicament. When the bad beings killed the good man he was gone for three days and then came back fully alive and well and whole. God told the good people to follow the good man and that he and God would come back and save them from the bad beings. The man is back standing on the mountain of the Lord and he and God have done what they said they would do. God has come to live with the good people so that they will never be tricked again and can live happy and joyful lives forever.

Jesus: "Christmas Incorporated of all the Hallmark Christmas movies has the young couple that reminds me most of us in that like William Young I was groomed for the family business as he was for the toy company and like him I had so many years without the comfort of human love and companionship that I shut down emotionally just like he did when his mother died first and then his grandmother who not only raised him but nurtured him in love.

William is efficient and gets the job done and then along comes Riley Vance who is hired to be his assistant to help William save the flagship plant of his recently deceased father's business empire that he now heads up. Though Riley is young and inexperienced she  was trained and prepared for this task by her entrepreneur father and whose supportive parents provided her a foundation of confidence and competence all rooted in good American values and upbringing.  William and Riley are suddenly and unexpectedly united in a business endeavor that appears to be impossible but it is soon evident that they have been teamed up by fate for success.

Riley is full of life and love, is smart and capable and she sparks something in William that seemed to him that was gone forever.  William had a track record of success of his own and even on the ice William is completely in command and then he coaches Riley and she is skating with him in no time.  The skating scene was particularly meaningful to me because it reminded me of the early days when you would follow all over the internet and it took you at least ten times as long to make one connection as it does now. I realized that there was nowhere you would not follow me and you did it all just to serve me and not for personal gain other than the resurrection blessings for everyone who has lost loved ones.

The mistaken identity conflict that caused William to fire Riley from the company reminded me of our lake experience when I told you that we would have to go our separate ways. Just as Riley went home to her parents to sort everything out as her heart was breaking so you went home to your parents' home where you were staying and you turned to Jehovah to sort everything out as your heart was breaking. At that time I was unsure if we should continue moving forward together and it was at that time that Jehovah told each of us and both of us that he had already married us in the spirit solely for the purpose of reuniting the twelve tribes of Israel spiritually as prophesied and what was essentially a business arrangement for Jehovah to take America as his wife and that had to happen to save America, the manifestation of ancient Israel.

Even so, just as in the movie William and Riley were falling in love but holding back because they have a work relationship that must not be interfered with by their growing romantic love and attraction, they had a balancing act because so many others were depending on both of them to balance everything well in order to keep the plant open with its jobs and livelihoods for the entire town. This is what we have  been doing for five years. Neither of us could make anything happen any faster because so many things depended on the development of things by other people and at the same time we have had to stay true to who each of us is all the while safeguarding  the huge responsibility that has been entrusted to us.

At the end of this phase of the salvation of earth, there are many restrictions that will be lifted off both of us and others as well, and you can imagine what some of those things might be but you will not know the full scope and fullness of the man I am until we are there but one thing I can assure you is that I feel just like the man in this movie when he said he wants to be the man he is when he is with the woman he loves and that is exactly how I feel about you because when I am with you is when I am the happiest and it is who I want to be every single moment for the rest of my life."

Fourteen years ago I was still married to Jack and only one child of our four had left our home when she married in 2003 and moved to Long Beach until she moved back to Moreno Valley in 2017 with her family. For the last five years I experienced the most incredible ongoing event that followed on the heels of the previous nine years during which time I remarried for eight years to be widowed when my husband passed away.  I was sustained through my grief by God who became my husband as I had been married three times for a total of 39 years.  My first marriage at age 19 lasted 8 years, my second at age 29 lasted 23 years and my third at age 52 lasted 8 years.  It was the most natural thing in the world to turn to Jesus the Bridegroom of the Bride of Christ and say to him "I guess you are my husband now" and this decision to think of him as my husband gave me great comfort during my period of great and deep grief. What I did not know was that Jesus could actually become a real husband to me because like everyone else I thought he was off in heaven somewhere to return some century for his second coming and there was not a thought in my mind that he could be a real husband to anyone and especially not to me.

Of course my children lived with me and Jack for all the years of their childhood but once they left to live their adult lives I have had fairly minimal time with them and with their kids. In some ways I am a stranger to them and them to me and if this is not true, it seems that way to me much of the time. In the months following my divorce from Jack and in the early months of my new marriage to Kent it is true that I made many mistakes and was distant from my children to such an extent that I have ruined my relationships with them and when Nicole tells me that my children hate me and don't want to be around me it is very hurtful because they have never really given me a chance to explain what really happened and so each one has gone on to believe a falsehood and from these falsehoods have come tons of heartache and I have never really been able to break through to any of them in a way that would help them understand what I was up against. I would talk to Kent and he understood only too well because he had had the same situation with his only daughter and this common denominator that we shared is the one thing that helped each of us know that we were getting treatment from our kids that we did not deserve and yet neither of us could make anything right with these kids either and both of us wanted nothing more than to have loving and happy relationships with each of our kids. The total time of transition from a chaotic and destructive life with Jack to an orderly and happy and constructive life with Kent lasted nine months so in the time it takes to give life to a new baby was the time it took me to destroy the relationships that I had spent 20 years developing with each of them. It was  the influence of many people who did not know me or my circumstances who saw what they thought was a terrible mother abandoning her kids when in actuality my family had been abandoned by people who lacked the common sense to see that I was doing everything I could to save my family from utter destruction. It was during this time that nearly everyone I knew turned their backs on me and judged me and criticized me. There were exceptions of course such as my dear sweet father who stuck with me through all the years even after he tried with all his heart to encourage me to leave my marriage while I was pregnant with my first child. But I did not have the guts or the means to raise a child on my own and I thought I had a decent man who I did not marry just to divorce within months.  So I stayed and the babies kept coming and now after a lifetime of effort I am basically alone.

When Kent and I committed our lives to each other we took that commitment to mean our lives and the lives of our children. He and I planned a weekly Friday night sleepover at our house where we would make dinner and watch movies and pop popcorn or whatever the kids would want to do. It was a great idea that just did not fly and the kids let us know that weekly get togethers were too much and too many and that they had other plans for their weekends. We were both disappointed but understood that young people have better things to do than spend time with their mother and her new husband. I always regretted that because Kent was a man who had everything to offer them that would have helped them in their young adult lives and they just could not see the gift that God had given them and that they basically threw away. I on the other hand, saw what a gem Kent really was and I spent every moment that I could with him and the both of us had a love for God and we knew that God was with us for something special and his presence was always felt to the point we would talk about it often.

Over the years Kent and I tried to be as close, loving, caring and helpful as we could be to my kids and we did share some very good times.  They came to know and love him but as I said earlier many falsehoods from people my children trusted for truth tarnished what otherwise would have been much richer relationships with both of us. I understand why one of the ten commandments is to refrain from bearing false witness against your neighbor because once that is done, it is nearly impossible to overcome all the negativity that develops with that false witness.
